You want it hot, but not so hot that you get those ugly pearlescent streaks or thin walls that pop under pressure.&#xA;We use short-wave infrared lamps because they punch through the plastic much faster. When you switch to a higher wattage—like moving from a basic element to a high-output halogen tube—you&amp;rsquo;re basically cranking up the heat flux.&#xA;That&amp;rsquo;s the win.
